Training supervisors to be effective and efficient leaders to achieve the company’s mandate!
A good supervisor needs to have a plethora of skills and knowledge at their disposal to operate effectively on the employer's behalf. Ensuring that supervisors are well trained in their roles and responsibilities and have developed a pertinent skill set and knowledge base is the goal of this training. Along with critical communication skills, supervisors will be given practical tools and knowledge to aid them in almost every facet of their job, including: developing due diligence, how to deal with workplace incidents and the importance of investigation, just cause considerations, how to deal with insubordination, how to deal with work refusals, PIPEDA, duty to accommodate, the importance of a supervisor's notes in arbitration, how to be a prepared as a witness in arbitration, and how to handle harassment and bullying in the workplace. Supervisors will also be educated on Bill C-45 and how it applies to them and what considerations they need to take in light of Canadian Human Rights.
